Free WIPL-D training at EuMW2019 in Paris 1st-3rd October, 2019

WIPL-D will traditionally take part at EuMW2019 in Paris, booth #301c in joint exhibition NI AWR partner’s area at Paris Expo Porte De Versailles.
During 3 days, in the morning and afternoon 2-hour slots, WIPL-D will deliver free training for all interested parties, which consists of 3 EM tasks to be modeled & simulated in WIPL-D software:

1. Reflector fed by rectangular horn antenna

a) Tuesday, 1st Oct, 10:30-12:30, or

b) Wednesday 2nd Oct, 14:00-16:00

2. Cross slot array

a) Tuesday 1st Oct, 14:00-16:00, or

b) Thursday 3rd Oct, 10:30-12:30

3. Antenna placement problem (microstrip patch antenna on the airplane)

a) Wednesday, 2nd Oct, 10:30-12:30, or

b) Thursday 3rd Oct, 14:00-16:00

Short description of the training tasks:

In the first task a rectangular horn antenna will be created and used as a feeder for a paraboloid reflector in WIPL-D software. Usage of symmetry in order to reduce simulation time and memory resources will also be explained.

In the second task a cross slot array will be modeled and simulated. Advanced modeling option together with special techniques for improving simulation accuracy, like edging, will be demonstrated and WIPL‑D Optimizer will be applied to position of the slot in order to obtain a circular polarization in the main beam of the radiation pattern.

In the last antenna placement problem, a model of a microstrip patch antenna will be created first, and then placed on the imported airplane model, by using a special option in WIPL-D ProCAD simulation tool. Smart reduction techniques, antenna placement and shadow reduction will also be explained.
