Now Released: WIPL-D Pro CAD 2025, Pro v21, and Microwave 7.0

We are pleased to announce the official launch of new versions of our flagship products: WIPL-D Pro CAD 2025, WIPL‑D Pro 21 and WIPL-D Microwave 7.0, along with a completely new built-in application for analyzing and visualizing simulation results (WIPL-G). WIPL-D Pro CAD: What is New in v2025?full release note

The 2025 release of WIPL-D Pro CAD introduces major enhancements, powerful new features, and a wide range of improvements designed to boost performance and provide greater flexibility to users:

  • Significant program environment upgrades:
    • The new version of the program is a 64-bit application
    • Working with multiple monitors is improved
    • Flickering has been removed
  • Significant improvements to the program’s operation:
    • Domain Decomposition Solver can now be invoked directly from CAD
    • Current Generators excitation is introduced in CAD
    • Improved current calculations
    • Access to new Type of Basis Functions, Physical Optics (PO), from CAD
    • PEC, PMC, and Half-Space Green Functions are introduced in CAD
    • Working with STL files has been improved
    • Scattered field calculation is introduced when specifying Near Field results
    • Pro Checker is introduced to check the correctness of IWP files
    • Fast Calculation of the radiation pattern
    • New ways to define custom excitation waves and far field directions of interest
    • Run as Avoided with Extrapolation
    • Other program’s operation enhancements
  • Cosite (antenna systems coupling) analysis has been implemented:
    • Automatically created Ellipsoids surround the area of interest around antenna systems and loadings, for the reduction of the number of unknowns
    • Options to perform “Exact solution” and “Friis model solution”
    • Different excitation types: Generator/Port, Field Generator, and Current Generator
  • Geometry modeling improvements:
    • Segmented helix has been introduced
    • New Split Face option
    • Other geometry modeling improvements
  • Meshing of the structure is revised for simulation smoothness and user comfort:
    • The mesh process has been accelerated significantly
    • Coaxial port and waveguide port mesh and mesh for Periodic Boundaries have been improved
    • Mesh quality is greatly improved for highly curved, small surfaces
    • Mesh is optimized to prevent unnecessary re-meshing by monitoring changes in model settings
  • New possibilities when working with Symbol list:
    • Supporting symbols definition expression up to 4096 characters
    • Hints for the symbols table
    • New mathematical functions
    • Find & Replace mechanism
  • More flexibility for materials definitions and handling:
    • Distributed loadings now apply to all metal bodies and appear in the Domain table
    • Domain assignment via εr_imag, μr_imag, or via Loss Tangent (e_tan(δ), m_tan(δ))
    • Metallic Pattern attribute
    • After Boolean operations, new regions are now filled with vacuum instead of PEC
  • Additional improvements, enhancements, and bug fixes

 

WIPL-D Pro: What is New in v21?full release note

WIPL-D Pro v21 introduces a range of powerful new features and enhancements that boost accuracy, flexibility, and performance across all stages of EM design — from simulation setup to post-processing.

Key features and enhancements introduced in v21 include:

  • Collecting Big Data by 3D EM Simulation:
    • Fast calculation of 3D radiation pattern
    • Fast calculation of current distribution
    • Parallelized calculation of monostatic RCS
    • Parallelized evaluation of multiple excitation (columns)
    • Setting an arbitrary number of direction grids to be used either for excitation or radiation pattern evaluation
  • RCS of metallic structures at high frequencies beyond the scope of the direct Method of Moments (MoM) solution
    • PO solution for bistatic and monostatic RCS
    • Extrapolation of MoM solution to higher frequencies
    • Combined extrapolated MoM solution and PO solution

  • GPU matrix inversion is now fully functional
  • Alternative way to specify a range of frequencies is implemented
  • Frequency Dependent User-defined Symbols
  • Improved stability for Touchstone files with large number of ports
  • Maximum number of ports increased to 2047
  • EM component and circuit can have different referent frequency
