Variety of Applications

One of the major properties of our software is its versatility. That basically means that whatever you can think of and conceive in your head, you can also model in our software, as long as it treats metallic and dielectric structures that are piece-by-piece homogenous and isotropic.

Every problem should be put in one of the two categories that we define in our software: ANTENNA or SCATTERER. These categories simply differ problems in which excitation comes from a generator (antennas, array, microwave circuits…) from those where the excitation comes from incoming uniform plane waves (scattering problems, RCS, …) After that, everything is left to the skill of the engineer doing the modeling.

Method of Moments (MoM) upon which WIPL-D resides is implemented with high precision regardless of the problem. However, WIPL-D also allows an engineer to rely upon his/her experience to increase the size of the problem that can be solved by neglecting its irrelevant parts. All in all, WIPL-D lets its users employ it for incredibly wide range of EM problems, by letting them customize the engine so that it consumes the least time and memory for the given problem.
